18th October 2008: A touch (rugby) team has been assembled by the community and friends. They have joined the Cook Islander competition held on Saturday's at 2.00pm at Mabel Park High School, Slacks Creek. Anyone is welcome to play or support the team.
11th October 2008: The Rotuman Community of Queensland Hula group danced several items for the second day at the Fiji day celebrations.
10th October 2008: The Rotuman Community of Queensland provided a cultural dance for the Fiji Day celebrations held in Brisbane. Although the weather was not perfect it was an entertaining day of cultural activities and rugby.
4th October 2008: Congratulations to Ana and Rodney Bukuya on a wonderful wedding!!
27th September 2008: Congratulations to the organisers of the fund raiser event for the Catholic church in Rotuma. It was a very well run and entertaining event with many Rotumans and their friends attending.
20th September 2008: The Rotuman Community of Queensland will perform a cultural dance at the Fiji day celebrations held in Brisbane. Members will be contacted with dance practice times.
17th August 2008: A committee meeting was held at the Manueli residence.27th July 2008: The Rotuman Community of Queensland has now been officially recognised as a faith community by the Uniting Church of Australia. Our thanks goes out to all those that attended the confirmation ceremony and to the members of the Rotuman Community that helped prepare the food. Special thanks to the Toombul District Uniting Church for all their support over the years.

Please note that the confirmation ceremony as a faith community will be held on Sunday 27th July at the Nudgee church.
17th May 2008: The community celebrated Rotuma day with an event filled day that included; teaching of traditional ceremonies; singing; prayer and of course volleyball.
10th April 2008: Preparations for Tiva's birthday party this Saturday are in full swing. Several interstate and overseas guests will be present to honour her. If you have been lucky enough to be invited the Rotuman Community of Queensland looks forward to meeting you at the venue.
7th February 2008: The Rotuman Community of Queensland also says a sad goodbye to Moli Hili as he pursues a career in the Australian Navy.
5th April 2008: The Rotuman Community of Queensland would like to wish Patrina Hili all the best in her new job (macrobiologist) as she relocates to Cairns.
10th February 2008: The Rotuman Community of Queensland will host a large birthday celebration for Tiva Cort.
